Napa Wedding“Would you be interested in photographing our intimate destination wedding in Napa, California?” Yes, please! This is the kind of opportunity photographers like me dream of–scenic locations with a great looking couple surrounded by some of the world’s very best wine. I was totally honored they asked me and I hope the photos show it.

Rob & Jason couldn’t have picked a better time to have their Napa wedding. Clear skies and just a week away from harvest with all of the vineyards bursting with sweet, delicious grapes.

They prepared for the day at the stylish Archer Hotel in downtown Napa and the ceremony was held at beautiful Beaulieu Garden in Rutherford. Promontory Winery was the dinner venue–a truly magical place tucked away in the west Oakville hills overlooking Napa Valley. All of these venues provided such a classy/romantic setting to the days events.

These guys have a lot of chemistry together. It was a pleasure to also discover that Rob & Jason are truly genuine people with big hearts. Spending two days with them and 18 of their closest friends & family documenting this special time was a touching experience I won’t soon forget.

For photographers: This was my first time traveling with a ThinkTank Airport Security V3.0. It’s the perfect rolling case for my photography gear that meets the max carry-on limit of exactly 45 linear inches. It fit 2 full-frame camera bodies, 4 prime lenses (24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm), 2 big zooms (14-24mm, 70-200mm), a macro lens, 4 flashes and a Laptop! This was also my first time flying Alaska Airlines and it was the best air travel experience I’ve ever had. Highly recommended.
