COMMUNITY HERO ROSS ANDERSON // TAMPA EDITORIAL PHOTOGRAPHER

I had a great time photographing Ross Anderson, co-founder of Men of Vision for the Lightning Foundation’s 12th Community Hero Award this season.

Each Hero is recognized for outstanding work within the local community and receives a $50,000 donation to give to the non-profit organization of their choosing. The photos are incorporated into a video segment shown at Lighting Hockey games up on a giant 28×50 foot HD arena display inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

I shot this editorial session with a Nikon Df and 35mm f/1.4G, 85mm f/1.8G and 24-70mm f/2.8G lenses. Off-camera flash was used in the auditorium with a Nikon SB-910 Speedlight up high on a light stand for ceiling bounce; triggered with Pocket Wizard MiniTT1 and FlexTT5.

All other shots were done with natural lighting.
