Opal Sands Resort engagement photo shoot with Teri & Ryan in Clearwater Beach, Florida. Teri saw a photo I posted in Instagram from a wedding I’d photographed at Opal Sands and asked me to be her wedding photographer. Their engagement session was my first time meeting and working with them–such a great couple! Teri & Ryan brought both casual and formal attire for the shoot and looked stunning. They were 100% excited about the session and open to lots of different ideas for photos.

Opal Sands is a stylish, high-end beach resort with modern architecture and decor. The lobby has big windows facing the ocean; letting in lots of dynamic light. The beach area around the resort has a very cool rock barrier that is perfect for intimate sunset photos on the water. It was packed with beachgoers this particular day, but you’d never know it looking at the images (thank you Photoshop!). After sunset, we started walking back to the hotel and noticed the full moon–a perfect ending to an amazing day.

I photographed this Opal Sands Resort engagement session in the late afternoon/evening using two Nikon D750 cameras supported by a HoldFast Money Maker Harness and 24mm, 35mm, 85mm and 90mm (macro) prime lenses carried in an ONA Bowery Bag. This was also my first shoot using a  Godox AD200 flash on some shots.
